There is a lot at stake. To host the Games in 2014 would be a natural continuation of the efforts which have been carried out for many years for the structuring and the development of the Norman equine industry.

The region is clearly displaying its objective: to make Normandy the leading European equine region.

A long term perspective for Normandy
The obtaining of the 7th edition of the FEI World Equestrian Games is part of a long term strategy for the positioning of Normandy.

The organisation of the WEG must be an initial lever which will provide the following things in the long term:
- The promotion and the development of the equine industry in Normandy
- International visibility for the region and its companies
- An exceptional site for the future

It is a real challenge for Normandy. It would be the biggest equestrian event ever organised in France! Normandy has already proved its expertise in the organisation of international events, especially on the occasion of the organisation of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Normandy landings.
