Promoting high level equestrianism
As a result of the agreement which was signed on 21 February between the candidacy committee and the FFE, a Normandy 2014 trophy has been created.
It represents €6,000 of prize money, and will be awarded to the three teams which are best placed after the three Norman stages of the Grand National Competition for show jumping in Sainte-Mère-Eglise, which took place on 24 March, in Deauville on 15 June and in Saint-Lô on 17 August.
The Grand National Competition for show jumping is new this year and is a circuit of 10 French stages, just like Formua 1 racing. It is open to riders who are competing individually or as a team of two, for the colours of an organisation, a trademark or of private stables. This circuit also exists for the two other Olympic disciplines (eventing and dressage), and is aimed at promoting high level equestrianism in France.
